Led by Dr. Joan McCool, The Violence against Women on Campus is a recently established program which originated from a grant from the State of New York in late 2006. Since the beginning of the program in January of 2007 the VAWOC has promoted and protected women from violence on campus, especially those who dorm on campus. Ranging from domestic violence, sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking. While working together with campus and community resources, The VAWOC initiative will be promoting campus safety and awareness against the violence on women on campus through a variety of services, and programs that will be available to students, and staff.
